Not sure this is my best work..but something about this image I like. The bike is 9 feet long. Everytime I look at this image I think of this song. [link] Play it while you look at this image.

I love the shot. Love the song. I am going out to get that after work.

Question: Have you tried to shot in two parts and then put them together in photoshop?

Here is what I was thinking: the girl is the most important subject. Focus on the closest eye, lock the focus take the shot. With the focus still lock move the camera and compose and shot the next shot.

The only draw back is the foreground may be out of focus but looking at what you got here I am thinking that should not be an issue with an f/18. This will double the size of your image and give you more details (not that anything is wrong with it here) and more color control.

Thanks.. even though the album is old..its still one of my favs..

Your suggestion sounds like a much better route then what I did. You know me..I pride myself at not having to do much in PS. But, because of the length of the bike, there were focus issues in the image (half of it was too far out of focus).. So I had to do more editing to this then I do to most..(plus removed things i didn't want in the image)... I think your route may be the way to go on such a long subject...
